Spring Changes at Alpha Omega

With the first quarter of 2018 and the 2017 tax season in our rear-view mirrors, Alpha Omega continues to look forward to some exciting changes.  With the change of quarters come some changes to our Richmond office, both to our team and to our office!

At the end of March we said good-bye to Mary Beth Poggi as she decided to change careers and embark on a new adventure outside of the financial world.  In her short time here, Mary Beth was instrumental in guiding the equity research efforts around our All Cap Dividend Value approach.  While we will miss her presence both personally and professionally, we are excited for the opportunities that lay before her.  We wish her much success.

As we say goodbye to Mary Beth, we are thrilled to welcome two new associates, Everett Reveley and Clement Teden.  Everett and Clement join Alpha Omega from Davenport & Company where they worked for several years in a variety of roles.  Everett will step in to assume many of Mary Beth’s research and Investment Committee responsibilities, while Clement will help to lead our Business Development efforts. Together, they will serve as Financial Advisors in our Richmond office.

As part of the Executive Administration team at Davenport, Everett Reveley served on most of the firm’s committees and helped to manage the firm’s day-to-day operations with a focus on risk management and strategic initiatives. During an earlier stint at Davenport, Everett was a Research Analyst providing commentary on the macroeconomic outlook and covering stocks in the specialty finance sector. Before and between his times at Davenport, Everett worked at the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, DC; first in the Office of Debt Management and then as part of the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP), specifically the Capital Purchase Program.

Everett graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University in 2000. He also earned a M.A. in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 and a M.B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2006. He is a Certified Financial PlannerTM, an Accredited Investment FiduciaryTM, and a Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional.

Everett is actively involved in the community, regularly volunteering and supporting organizations in the Richmond area and serves on many boards.  He is also a lifelong member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.  Last June, Everett married his wife, Anne Randolph, to whom he was introduced by Alpha Omega’s own Clay Hilbert.

Clement Teden worked his way up from the Client Services help desk at Davenport, to Sales & Marketing in Asset Management, and finally to Business Development where he assisted advisors throughout the firm in their efforts to grow and serve their clients better. In recent years, he also had the opportunity to assist with recruiting new advisors to the firm. Clement’s experience has given him a deep understanding of how the best financial advisors serve their clients.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Clement graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 2007 with a B.A in Economics. He and his wife, Whitney, have a lovable black lab (Birdie) and two children, also lovable – Claire and Charlie. Clement is involved in the community through his current service as Vice Chairman of the Board for the Richmond Community ToolBank.

Finally, as many of you know the Richmond office has been “under construction.”  The project should be complete by the end of the summer so please excuse the mess!  We are excited for a slightly updated look!

Please feel free to stop by and join us in welcoming Everett and Clement to the Alpha Omega team!
