For over a decade, the Boy Scout region for the central part of Virginia — known as the Heart of Virginia Council — holds an annual sporting clays shooting to raise funds to support their summer camps and programs. The event takes place at Camp Brady Saunders in Goochland, Virginia, also the location for many summer camps. Since the first year of this event, Craig Forbes and Art Washburn have sponsored at least one team to support the mission of Scouts. What started as a modest event generated over $100,000 this year.
On October 13, Alpha Omega Investment Advisors sponsored two teams. Furthermore, it appeared that we were the only team that has sponsored this event since the first year. For many years, one of our teams has placed in the top three teams – just for bragging rights. We are proud to be a supporter of a number of organizations in various locations in Virginia. Thanks to our team members this year for making this an enjoyable event. Go Boy Scouts.
